Introduction
Creating an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) objectives program for the general construction industry involves addressing the unique risks and challenges of construction work. Replace with Company Name emphasizes our company’s commitment to health and safety, legal compliance, and continuous improvement utilizing our OS&S Objectives program.  See other OHSMS Sections for more specific information.

Roles and Responsibilities

Senior Management is involved and committed to our company’s safety & health.  The Responsible Safety Officer (RSO), Replace with Safety Person’s Name is responsible for the implementation of this program.  The RSO is responsible to clearly define OHS roles and responsibilities on-site and develop and communicate a clear structure of responsibilities for site managers, supervisors, and workers.

Employee Involvement

The RSO and Supervisors encourages active employee involvement in the construction OS&S Objectives program through participation in periodic Hazard Identification, JSA’s (Jobsite Safety Analysis) meetings, safety meeting, safety committee meetings and any other opportunities to provide input into the program’s effectiveness and improvement.
