Introduction:
Replace with Company Name is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all employees, contractors, visitors, and stakeholders through a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). A key component of this system is ensuring that all workers are competent to perform their duties safely and effectively. See other OHSMS Sections for more specific information.
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to establish a framework for assessing, developing, and maintaining the competence of all workers in relation to occupational health and safety. This policy aims to ensure that all employees have the necessary skills, knowledge, and training to perform their work safely. This policy is implemented, maintained, continuously monitored and reviewed by the Responsible Safety Officer (RSO), Replace with Safety Person’s Name.
Scope:
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and temporary workers of Replace with Company Name. It covers all activities and processes related to assessing and ensuring worker competence in health and safety matters.
