Organization

Replace with Company Name requires that during every emergency an organized effort be made to protect personnel from further injury and to minimize property damage.

All of Replace with Company Name resources can be made available to respond to an emergency.  Each supervisor must know what to do during an emergency in his or her area and must be certain that his or her employees understand their roles.

Replace with Company Name will establish an emergency response plan for responding to an emergency that may require rescue or evacuation.  For projects with a large number of employees with multiple work sites, multiple ER Plans may be developed – this is a plan for one worksite. <1>

 Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan

A responsible party must be designated by Replace with Safety Person’s Name and oriented for each workplace or jobsite.              An emergency response plan will include the identification of potential emergencies.  For instance, medical emergencies and fire are common to all work sites and shall be included, at minimum by the RSO. <2>  Generally, the Responsible Safety Officer or designated representative is the person in charge of a workplace or jobsite.  This person has specific responsibility for the preparation, updating, and implementation of the emergency plan.  This responsibility includes recommending personnel to attend indoctrination and training programs.

Our company’s emergency response plan will include procedures for dealing with the identified potential emergencies. <3>  Specifically, each plan must contain the following information and procedures as appropriate for each workplace.
