Introduction:
Replace with Company Name is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through the continuous improvement of our Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and Quality Management System (QMS). Internal audits are a critical component of this system, providing a systematic and objective assessment of our health and safety performance, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and the effectiveness of our OHSMS/QMS.  [1]  See other OHSMS/QMS Sections for more specific information.

Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to establish a framework for conducting internal audits of the OHSMS. This policy outlines the procedures for planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on internal audits to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and continual improvement of our health and safety management system.  This policy is implemented, maintained, continuously monitored and reviewed by the Responsible Safety Officer (RSO), Replace with Safety Person’s Name.

Scope:
This policy applies to all internal audit activities related to the OHSMS/QMS of Replace with Company Name. It covers all locations, activities, processes, and departments within the company.
