Organization

Replace with Company Name requires that during every emergency an organized effort be made to protect personnel from further injury and to minimize property damage.

All of Replace with Company Name resources can be made available to respond to an emergency.  Each supervisor must know what to do during an emergency in his or her area and must be certain that his or her employees understand their roles.  The Responsible Safety Officer (RSO), Replace with Safety Person’s Name is responsible for this program’s implementation.

Responsibilities

A responsible party must be designated by the RSO and oriented for the creation of an Emergency Preparedness & Response for each workplace or jobsite.  Generally, the Responsible Safety Officer or designated representative is the person in charge of a workplace or jobsite.  This person has specific responsibility for the preparation, updating, and implementation of the emergency plan.  This responsibility includes recommending personnel to attend indoctrination and training programs.

Information that is necessary for the preparation, response, or evacuation during emergency situations should be documented and communicated to anyone, internal and external to the organization, that may be affected during the situation.  [5]
