Introduction
Every reasonable method to warn employees of hazards and dangers and to inform them of the actions required must be utilized. Signs, characteristic lights, and audible alarms as additional safeguards for built-in mechanical and physical protection must be used. To ensure uniform response by personnel, the warning signs and devices must be of the same type for similar hazards. Obtaining and installing the warning systems is the responsibility of the group needing them. Any questions or issues with the following requirements may be made to the Responsible Safety Officer, Replace with Safety Person’s Name or designated representative.
Control Lines/ Warning Tape
Control lines and warning/ danger tape are intended to serve mainly as a visual warning. Control lines may consist of ropes, wires, tapes, or equivalent materials, and supporting stanchions rigged and supported in such a way that its lowest point (including sag) is not less than 39 inches from the walking/working surface and its highest point is not more than 45 inches from the walking/working surface.
