An excerpt from ISNetworld® RAVS®* Safety plan Cyber - Contingency Planning (BC/DR) Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Program
Purpose
This program establishes the framework and procedures to ensure that Replace with Company Name can maintain or rapidly resume critical operations following a cybersecurity incident, data breach, system failure, or other disruptive event. It integrates business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) into the overall cybersecurity posture to minimize downtime, protect sensitive data, and safeguard stakeholder trust.
Scope
This program applies to all employees, contractors, and third-party service providers, and all company-owned or managed systems, networks, cloud environments, and data.
Objectives
The principal objectives of our BC/DR is to ensure minimal disruption to business operations during and after a cyber incident, and protect and recover critical data, infrastructure, and applications.
This program establishes responsibilities, escalation paths, and recovery time objectives (RTO) & recovery point objectives (RPO). In order to continue business operations in the event of a disruption, Replace with Company Name recognizes and establishes a specific recovery point to restore business functions to within a defined time period. Business functions may include, but are not limited to, systems capabilities and continuous monitoring activities. [9]
Replace with Company Name will comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations for data security and continuity.
